How To Speed Through UWorld Qbank Block Review

Stuck in the UWorld review loop?
Here’s How To Break Free 👇

“It’s taking me forever to review a block of questions”…

“I’ll never finish UWorld in time”…

These are extremely common concerns we see in our YouTube comments section…

⬇️ Here’s what we do with our students and it works wonders ⬇️

STEP 1: DO FULL BLOCKS ALL AT ONCE:

The reason for this is simple… We want to leverage our Q’s to build stamina.

We may as well be building stamina as we refine our knowledge & test-taking skills.

STEP 2: REVIEW THE ENTIRE BLOCK ALL AT ONCE:

Instead of taking 3-4hrs, do a quick read-through and write down, in list format, all of your mistakes (both major and minor, as well as silly mistakes that you can’t afford to let happen).

Save this list and keep a ‘running list’ of all mistakes & weaknesses as you do more and more blocks.

STEP 3: HAVE A DEDICATED ‘WEAKNESS REVIEW’ SESSION EACH WEEK:

This is where the magic happens…

I highly recommend doing this on Saturdays…

There’s something psychological about saving this for Saturday morning –
most likely because it gives you permission to plow forward throughout the week without feeling guilty.

By having a dedicated period each week where you’ll refer back to your running list of weaknesses, you’ll get the following benefits:

1) Minimized stress & anxiety throughout the week
2) Better focus on practicing your test-taking skills & building your stamina
3) More efficient & effective when actually working on weaknesses

STEP 4: TRACK & ADJUST YOUR LIST AS YOU GAIN CONTENT MASTERY:

Every Saturday when you sit down to fix your weaknesses, go the extra mile and make notes based on each weakness.

As you continue forward, keep reviewing those notes so that your weaknesses become strengths and get further solidified as such.

As this happens (weaknesses become strengths), cross them off of your ‘weakness list’.

As you get closer and closer to exam day, you’ll know exactly which weaknesses still need to be addressed…

This ensures that you go into exam day with zero major weaknesses…

It also allows you to see how much progress you’ve actually made; a huge psychological benefit.

That’s all there is to it.

It’s a simple step with powerful benefits that’ll help you get more out of everything you do and become an efficiency powerhouse throughout the rest of your USMLE Step 1 exam prep.
