THE SPECIFICS
THE ROADMAP
We’ve set out to create the world’s most efficient and effective USMLE Step 1 preparation program. After 15+ years as a USMLE coach and tutor, Dr. Paul has tested every preparation strategy and course format, ultimately landing on the format you see here. The core of our program focuses on helping you with the two most common deficiencies associated with exam failure: Poor test-taking skills and fact-based recall. By focusing intensely on these two areas for two hours per day over a four-week period, we’ll cover the highest-yield Step 1 exam information while dramatically improving your test-taking and recall skills.
WE HELP YOU EXECUTE THE PLAN
With the ideal preparation formula in place, you’ll meet with Dr. Paul for two hours per day (Mon-Fri) via Zoom with a small group of students working towards the same goal: Step 1 success. During our first hour together, we’ll cover a carefully curated series of rapid-fire questions to help you master the facts that show up on exam day. During the second hour, we’ll go through a collection of topic-specific questions designed to ensure you’re exposed to the highest-yield concepts likely to show up on your exam. Students can choose to participate during the second hour with Dr. Paul 1-on-1 for additional question-specific feedback and help.
WE ASSESS YOUR EXAM READINESS
We know how important it is to stay on track… That’s why we’ll be monitoring your progress and making adjustments as needed. Our job is to get you ready in as little time as possible, so you can expect that we’ll be honest with you and recommend changes or adjustments to the plan as needed. To help you assess yourself, we’ll include three (3) USMLEDx assessment exams for use throughout your preparation.
PASSING SCORE GUARANTEE
Students who meet our green-light criteria (Unused, timed, online NBME score of 70% or more) are given the green light to proceed with their exam. You’re backed by our passing score guarantee if you meet these criteria before sitting for your exam. If you take your exam and don’t pass, you can return for another four-week session on us.

FAQs
Does This Include A Study Plan?
The main program doesn’t come with a study plan, however, you can purchase an ‘add-on’ on the registration form at the bottom of this page to meet Dr. Paul for a 1hr 1-on-1 session after you register. During this time, you can work together to create a study plan.
Can I Start Any Time?
Yes. You can join any time you like. We do work on a 4-week schedule, however, you can join at any time and still benefit from the way we’ve structured the program. After we’ve covered a full four weeks, we’ll start back at the beginning, ensuring you will be able to cover everything no matter when you join!
What If I Need More Personalized Help?
We have two options if you’re in need of more personalized help. The first option is to take advantage of our weekly office hours where you can interact with Dr. Paul and ask any questions you might have about your prep. The second option is to select the “add-on” during registration, which entitles you to a 1hr 1-on-1 session with Dr. Paul at the start and end of your time with us. This is the best way to get a personalized plan to be used during your time with us, and a plan to continue your preparation after your course comes to an end.
What Separates This Program From Others?
What makes our program different is that we’re aiming to help you fill in the gaps that typically cause students to fail. Many students feel as though they need to sit in class all day long to prepare for their USMLE Step 1 exam, however, we’ve recognized over the years that this is counterintuitive. The majority of your progress will come from quiet study, but deficiencies will likely still exist. Working with us for a couple of hours per day will help you identify those deficiencies and fix them as quickly as possible. Most programs focus on content review; we focus on making you a stronger, more prepared test-taker.
How Does This Program Fit Into My Step 1 Prep?
This program has been designed to give you structure and support as you prepare for your exam. The way to think about our program is as a study partner who will keep you accountable each day, show you & help you review super high-yield info, and help you fine-tune your test-taking skills. Our program is a supplement to be used alongside your dedicated individualized study.
Is This Enough To Pass?
We’ll give you all the tools needed to pass your exam, but you are expected to work hard when not in group. This includes doing questions, reviewing, and anything else that is recommended to you from Dr. Paul.
Who Will Be Doing The Training?
You will be working with Dr. Paul during your time with us.
Does The Content Repeat After 4 Weeks?
We work on a 4-week schedule, so we will re-start at the beginning every four weeks.
